have i worked your venue... and does it matter?

a question i am asked a lot is:

have you worked my venue before?

An experienced wedding photographer should be comfortable walking into a new venue and quickly working out the best spots for photos, how the light is falling and how to make the most of the space.

In fact, photographing a venue for the first time can be a good thing. It means they’re seeing it with fresh eyes rather than simply repeating the same shots they’ve taken there before.

every wedding is different , especially in scotland!

The time of year, weather, time of day and even the position of the sun can completely change how a venue looks.

So while venue experience can be helpful, it’s certainly not something you need to worry about when choosing your photographer.
